David Jooste

Senior Pastor

David is married to Diane, and they have three wonderful children. He grew up in Cullinan, South Africa and has studied music since he was 7 years old. He began playing organ at a Baptist church at age 8 and continued developing his musical talent. At age 13, David began touring with renowned Christian artist Julius Magan and together they ministered all across South Africa and in the USA on occasion. After completing his studies at the Tswane University of Technology in Light Music he took on a Musical Directorship position with an International Ministry in Europe. David toured all over the world and ministered in Italy, Greece, Sweden, Norway, Britain and the USA. He was also the Director as well Head of Faculty in COPA, the largest contemporary music faculty in South Africa, with ties to Chester University in the United Kingdom.
In 2017, David and his family moved to the USA to follow God's call on his life.
In October 2022 David was ordained a minister of the gospel through studies and mentorship from The Woodlands Bible Church. He has since been given the desire and passion to serve the Lord's Kingdom as a shepherd and teacher. His decision to birth The CALL Community Church was a direct answer to God's call on both his and his wife Diane's life. They hope that through this church, the lost will come to Jesus, the broken will be restored, and the community will be equipped to fulfill God's call on their own respective lives.

David Chastain

Elder

I am very honored and humbled to be an Elder of The CALL Community Church. As a servant of this church and our church community, I hope to help provide guidance and support to our leadership team and our church body. I strongly endorse our Vision and Mission for this church, and I am excited to be a part of our growing church body and trusting God for His faithfulness.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior at the young age of 12 and was raised in a Christian home.  In my teen years I was very involved in various home ministry studies and some outreach ministry.  During this time, I met my high school sweetheart Cindy, who became my lovely wife. God has also blessed us with three wonderful children and 4 amazing grandchildren. During our parenting years, Cindy and I were involved in many Church home groups, bible studies and bible programs. We have been attending Bible churches since 1981, primarily to learn the truth of God's word and apply and share His principals, and to create a Godly foundation for ours and our children's lives.
God place a desire for music on me at an early age. I began playing snare drum in the sixth grade and also played in the orchestra and marching band in Jr. High and High school. In the 80's I learned to play guitar and became involved in Christian music ministry fpr 17 years, playing guitar and singing for various youth programs and at Sunday morning worship.  After relocating to The Woodlands, Texas in 1998 I joined the Worship Team at Faith Bible Church as a drummer and served in that capacity for ten years. Other Christian music ministries as a drummer included "Sinners and Saints", Community Baptist Church, The Woodlands Bible Church, and now The CALL Community Church, all for over 28 years of Contemporary Christian music ministry. Music worship ministry has been a life-long passion for me.

I also have had a wonderful career as a Petroleum Exploration Geologist in the Oil & Gas industry for over 35 years.  After graduating from The University of North Carolina in 1979, (BS, Geology) I completed studies at The University of Mississippi (Ole' Miss) where I earned a (MS, Geology).  I began my career in 1981 working for Cities Service Company followed by Texas Oil and Gas Corporation, both located in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1986, I formed Petron Exploration Corporation and served as President and Chief Geologist and also Vice President of Energy Management operating company.  In 1998, I relocated to Houston, Texas and continued my Oil & Gas career in various Exploration and New Ventures capacities with Fina/Total, Newfield Exploration, and Nobel Energy until retiring in 2015.
Outside interests include golf, sporting clays and travel.

Don enjoys service to the church and being a member of The Call Community Church music worship team playing guitar. He also loves to travel with his wife Shirley, spending time with his grandchildren and playing golf.
